Our client is seeking a dedicated AP / AR Accountant to join their dynamic Finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable function, supporting both the Order to Cash Process and Procure to Pay Process. The successful candidate will report directly to the Finance Manager, ensuring work is delivered to a high standard and deadlines are met. This role offers a competitive salary of £40,000 - £45,000 and is based in West London.
Responsibilities:
As an AP / AR Accountant, you will play a pivotal role within the finance team. You will be responsible for managing the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, ensuring accurate data maintenance, schedule analysis, and timely system updates. Your role will also involve managing creditor payments, maintaining bank balances, managing expenses, supporting cashflow forecasting, and assisting in implementing a new ERP system. Your commitment to continuous improvement will be key in enhancing controls and procedures.
- Full ownership of creditors and debtors listing
- Monthly supplier statements & reconciling
- Supplier Invoice processing
- Managing bi monthly payment runs
- Manage bank balances and accounts
- Expense management
- Support Finance Director with cashflow forecasting
- Help implement new ERP system
- Manage GRNI and ensure correct amounts are released to the P&L
- Provide support for internal and external audits
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal AP / AR Accountant will bring a wealth of experience in collections, invoicing, or accounts receivable. You will have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, coupled with a solid understanding of basic accounting principles. Your exceptional attention to detail and dedication to accuracy will be crucial in this role. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential as you'll be working closely with various teams. Your ability to analyse large sets of data will be key in driving efficiency within the finance function.
- 2-3 years of experience with collections, invoicing, and/or accounts receivable
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications - strong Excel skills required
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to analyse large sets of data
