This Assistant Commercial Accountant position will support the Commercial Finance Manager and wider commercial finance team through reporting, financial analysis and business partnering. . This role will best suit a candidate who is looking to progress on from their first finance role.

The client we are partnering with are an established, SME Recruitment Firm, who are continuing to grow. They are looking to support the companies growth, by hiring an Assistant Commercial Accountant.
Description
- Ensure accurate transaction coding and allocation.
- Support business performance review and development.
- Take responsibility for personal growth and process improvement.
- Perform other reasonable duties as required.
- Assist with monthly management accounts and profit/loss reports.
- Reconcile balance sheet control accounts.
- Analyze gross profit and calculate KPIs, ensuring budget alignment.
- Set up and verify consultant commission calculations.
- Suggest process improvements for departmental effectiveness.
- Contribute to team efforts as evaluated by your manager.
- Prepare and present reports when requested.
- Assist in creating and revising budgets with CFM and budget holders.
- Review variance reports, analyze unbudgeted or exceeded expenses.
- Support KPI preparation and statistical reporting.
- Help develop reports to meet business needs.
- Assist with rolling forecasts.
- Ensure adherence to updated finance procedures.
- Report unresolved issues to your manager.
Profile
The successful candidate:
- Actively studying towards AAT / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent
- Around 2 years finance experience
- Experience manipulating data on excel
- Experience performing financial analysis / financial modelling is desirable
- Experience liaising with non-finance stakeholders
- Interested in the commercial side of a business
- Excellent verbal an written communication skills
