Harvey John are partnered with a market-leading Law Firm to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant for their London office on a 14 month fixed-term contract.

Their client base is incredibly varied and covers everything from: some of the UK's largest businesses and institutions, house-builders and developers through to investors, professional partnerships, family offices, not for profit organisations and private individuals - all of whom benefit from the flexible, practical approach of their lawyers.

You will sit within an established & fine-tuned finance team of circa 20 people, reporting into the Finance Manager to deliver on all aspects of monthly management accounting, forecasting, budget vs actual variance reporting, year-end accounts preparation and other internal accounting and partnership tasks as required.

This role has arisen due to the need for a maternity leave cover. A 14 month term has been selected in order to allow sufficient hand-over for the joining individual - the team atmosphere is very upbeat and collaborative and they want to set this person up for true success during their time with the firm.

This role will suit someone flexible, enthusiastic and willing to roll up their sleeves. You will have experience working in a management accounting capacity within a law firm or other professional services practice. Excellent communication skills and strong problem solving skills when dealing with both internal and external customers will be necessary.

AAT Level 4 qualification or studying towards ACCA/CIMA would be beneficial but is not required - relevant, demonstrable experience is more important for this role.
