Assistant Management Accountant | 3-month contract | South West London | Retail Business | £35,000 - £40,000 | 5 days per week in office
An Assistant Management Accountant is required to work for a well-known fashion retail business based in South West London (5 days in the office). This is a newly created role due to seasonal demand and has the opportunity to become permanent. This is a great role which supports the Management Accountant and Finance Manager.
This is a supporting position assisting the Finance Manager in producing the monthly management accounts; this is a temporary role with a view to go permanent.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with management account production
- Month end duties including journals, accruals, prepayments and fixed assets
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with budgets
- Assisting with year-end tasks
- Ad-hoc duties
Skill set required:
The successful candidate will have 1-2 year’s finance experience, with at least 1 year of month-end experience and be at the Part-Qualified level. Prior experience in a retailer or multi-site business is beneficial but not essential. You must possess strong communication skills and the ability to use your own initiative. This is a close-knit team who enjoy socialising and have a great office culture.
