We are partnering with a leading entertainment organisation to recruit a motivated Assistant Management Accountant to join the finance team. You will provide support in budgeting, management accounting, performance analysis, and the reporting of financial management information. This role involves acting as a financial business partner to many of the key income generating streams including festivals and retail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the production of accurate and timely management accounts, acting as a financial business partner to management teams.
  • Support the creation of annual budgets, working closely with management teams to coordinate, analyse, and report on financial information.
  • Assist with quarterly forecasts, delivering top-level analysis and streamlined reporting.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts for monthly reviews, including prepayments, accruals, and control accounts.
  • Support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc analytical work, such as variance, trend, and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Collaborate with non-financially trained managers and staff, ensuring effective communication of financial reports and insights.
  • Create and maintain strong working relationships across the organisation, contributing to a collaborative and inclusive environment.

Person Specification:

  • Actively studying towards a CCAB accountancy qualification
  • Commercial, industry, or charity background.
  • Strong financial modelling skills with proficiency in Excel and integrated finance systems
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels, including report writing and presenting financial analysis to non-financial managers.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive, analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
