Assistant Management Accountant - About The Role

In this role you will be working within a sub finance team of 5 and will be reporting into the Financial Controller. You will be required to support the daily running of the finance function as well as working closely with the Management Accountant at month end. This will be a brilliant role for someone who is looking for further month end exposure and is eager to learn from qualified Accountants.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Preparation of sales performance reporting including weekly sales updates
  • Reconciling progress payment control account and matching of balance sheet control accounts
  • Monitoring weekly bank reconciliations
  • Sense-checking reports to facilitate accurate month end reporting
  • Assisting the Financial Controller with monthly profit and cash flow forecasting
  • Supporting with quarterly review reporting and half-year reporting processes including quarterly financial appraisal packs.
  • Proactively looking to add value and improving internal processes
  • Building relationships with internal and external contacts

The successful Assistant Management Accountant will have/be:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a finance position
  • Looking to study or actively studying ACCA or CIMA
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines
  • Strong Excel skills
