Audit & Accounts Senior - Exciting Opportunity to Grow and Make an Impact

We’re looking for an experienced Audit Senior to join our team, offering a varied role with a mix of audit and non-audit responsibilities. This position is perfect for a motivated individual seeking flexibility and the chance to contribute to a dynamic practice. Here’s what the role entails:Requirements:

  • Qualifications: ACA or ACCA qualified
  • Experience: At least 3 years in audit (not exclusively, but with steady experience and progression in the field)
  • Technical Skills: Good working knowledge of FRS102 and a solid understanding of corporation tax (especially in how adjustments to accounts impact tax computations)
  • Software Proficiency: Confident using accounting and audit software.
  • Audit Leadership: Proven experience managing audits from planning to finalisation, guiding junior staff along the way.

Key Responsibilities:

In addition to core audit work, this role offers a broad scope tailored to your strengths and interests, including:

  • Non-Audit Accounts: Preparation and review of non-audit accounts
  • General Accounting Support: Overseeing VAT returns, bookkeeping, management accounts, etc.
  • Compliance: Supporting ongoing compliance with ISQM1 and ISQM2 standards
  • Software Rollout: Helping to implement our first audit working paper software.
  • Specialist Work: Preparing charity independent examination accounts, working on solicitors’ accounts rules, and other non-statutory accounts tasks.
  • Personal Tax & Research: Involvement in personal tax and research into tax and accounting topics
