Cobalt is thrilled to announce that we are supporting a prestigious property organisation with an exciting project on an exclusive basis. This leading real estate business manages a diverse portfolio of assets, from iconic retail spaces to unique residential properties all with a commitment to sustainability and community engagement.

Due to an expansion within the business, our client are seeking a Client Accountant to join their team looking after a residential portfolio. This role is working 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday and offers 2 days working from home. We are looking for Client Accountants who are free from November.

Responsibilities -

  • Generate and review trial balances, addressing any queries or discrepancies within the underlying accounts.
  • Prepare balance sheets for each service charge reconciliation managed by the project team.
  • Produce routine reports, including trial balance and VAT reports.
  • Monitor key performance indicators for the project and take responsibility for promptly resolving any issues.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of various control account reconciliations.
  • Review reserve and sinking fund balances, and compile data for customer reports and packs.

Requirements -

  • Experience in Real Estate, Service Charge Accountancy, or Client Accountant roles.
  • Familiarity with both commercial and residential property types.
  • Proficient in using property management systems, preferably Horizon.
  • Knowledgeable about the RICS Service Charge Code and Professional Statement requirements.
