This leading real estate business manages a diverse portfolio of assets, from iconic retail spaces to unique residential properties all with a commitment to sustainability and community engagement.
Due to an expansion within the business, our client are seeking a Client Accountant to join their team looking after a residential portfolio. This role is working 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday and offers 2 days working from home. We are looking for Client Accountants who are free from November.
Responsibilities -
- Generate and review trial balances, addressing any queries or discrepancies within the underlying accounts.
- Prepare balance sheets for each service charge reconciliation managed by the project team.
- Produce routine reports, including trial balance and VAT reports.
- Monitor key performance indicators for the project and take responsibility for promptly resolving any issues.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of various control account reconciliations.
- Review reserve and sinking fund balances, and compile data for customer reports and packs.
Requirements -
- Experience in Real Estate, Service Charge Accountancy, or Client Accountant roles.
- Familiarity with both commercial and residential property types.
- Proficient in using property management systems, preferably Horizon.
- Knowledgeable about the RICS Service Charge Code and Professional Statement requirements.
