Corporate Tax Director - Central London - Up to £140,000

Responsibilities

The CT team deals with a broad range of consultancy work emanating from a wide variety of clients. The list below includes some of the responsibilities, which are to be carried out:

  • Management of deadlines in a timely manner in respect of portfolio allocation
  • Scheduling of resources to assist with the delivery of work
  • Review provisions (including tax accounting) and final tax computations prepared other members of the team
  • Delivery of advisory work on a wide range of corporate and business tax issues primarily in respect of UK property (and corporate) acquisition structures, disposals, and group restructuring and reorganisations.
  • Effective liaison with specialists in other areas of taxation and legal teams to provide coherent and joined up solutions
  • Support in respect of non-property related transactions, including Due Diligence.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and provide high levels of client service
  • Business development activities including client presentations, writing articles, etc
  • Manage WIP and billing for own clients, ensuring commercial recoveries
  • Management of more junior members of the team to deliver work and provision of feedback
  • Responsibility for some administrative requirements and projects required to ensure the smooth operation of the corporation tax team.
  • Input into tax team strategy, target setting, budgeting and monitoring ongoing performance.
  • Special work/ad hoc assignments

Work may include the following:

  • Tender proposals
  • Due diligence
  • Opportunities to train staff on CT matters
  • Investigation and resolution of CT queries
  • Assistance in CT marketing and BD initiatives
  • People Management

Benefits:

  • A 35-hour working week with flexibility around the core hours of 10am-4pm
  • Agile working policy giving you the option to work from home for up to 3 days per week.
  • 25 days annual leave. After 5 years’ service, the entitlement will be increased by 1 day.

  • Contributory pension scheme (The firm will contribute 5% of salary on a matched basis with employee from their date of joining)

  • Company car as per Managers’ Car Scheme. May opt for a company car to the value to £15,100 by sacrificing £3,611 per annum of salary. (Pro-rata for lower vehicle cost).
