Equifind are representing a global Insurance firm based in the City of London, who are looking to hire a Credit Controller.

The international company boasts a huge Insurance portfolio of clients from every sector. After a run of record-breaking years, the organisation is now looking to grow by number of employees in 2023 making it a very exciting time to join the business.

You will be directly reporting into the Head of Credit Control, monitoring and managing all routine aspects of ledger balances in the UK company. This team is part of the wider finance team therefore the opportunity to get involved in other tasks is there on an ad-hoc basis. The Role:

The key responsibilities for the Credit Controller for the global Insurance firm based in the City of London will be:

  • Ensure outstanding ledger balances and unallocated cash, are kept to a minimum.
  • Production of Credit Control reports for aged debtors and unallocated cash.
  • Production and remittance of statements of account/ledger downloads to brokers and companies. Actively pursue responses, agreement and settlement of debtor balances. Resolve discrepancies.
  • Reconciliation and agreement of incoming statements of account, and accurate allocation of payments to Insurance ledger transactions.
  • Raising and checking of new payees and payments in accordance with the company’s financial procedures and policies.
  • Liaising with external Insurance market entities and support of internal departments and other offices.

Application Criteria:

To be considered for the role of Credit Controller working for this Insurance firm based in the City of London, candidates should ideally be:

  • Ideally 2-years’+ experience in Insurance Accounts / Credit Control, in the London Insurance Market, either with a Broker or Insurance firm.
  • Strong working knowledge of Insurance computer systems, Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Technical Accounting knowledge in Insurance / Reinsurance would be useful.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-growing environment.
  • Strong work ethic and good culture.

Compensation:

The Credit Controller working for this Insurance firm based in the City of London will be paid a competitive market based salary of between £35,000 - £50,000 PA.
