We have a fantastic opportunity to join a Global organisation as an Event Accountant based in West London. This is an immediate start on an FTC basis, offering a competitive salary and a hybrid working pattern.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to Event Directors and other budget holders through tracking, review and reconciliation of cost budget on a continuous basis, enabling accurate reporting at all times
  • Work with the Event Management team to continually streamline the event budgets, improving processes wherever possible across the staffing, operational and expenses budgets
  • Ownership of the cost budget file
  • Maintain a reconciled and accurate cost section of the P&L
  • Supply relevant information to budget holders/departments on the status of their spend throughout the event
  • Provide regular and ad hoc management reporting for decision-making including variance analysis
  • Own and maintain various relationships across the event team, including Event Directors, Finance, Marketing and HR
  • Support the wider team in the use of the budget and regularly checking the budgets are working correctly with no errors across all sections
  • Posting journals to facilitate budget reconciliation
  • Monitoring cash flow requirements based on invoice due dates
  • Ensuring payments are made on time and dealing with any queries from suppliers

Requirements:

  • 1 + years PQE - ACA / CIMA / ACCA or equivalent
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Strong IT skills (especially Microsoft Office and SharePoint)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Process orientated and able to manage and reconcile large data sets

  • Excellent planning & organisational skills to achieve multiple & sometimes conflicting deadlines
