Harmonic are delighted to be working with one of the most prominent and exciting live music institutions in the UK, in their search for a Finance Officer to join their growing team.

The Business:Our client are one of the most reputable, historic and major live music organisations in the UK, with their origins tracing back to the early 1900s. They are known for a commitment to making their music accessible to a broad audience, performing all of their productions at affordable prices and offering a fantastic experience to their guests. Located in the heart of the city, they have a fantastic reputation for impressive architecture and excellent acoustics.

There is also a non corporate culture and ethos throughout the organisation. Operating a modern approach to hybrid working, they expect 1 day a week in the office with a degree of flexibility around the days you choose to go in. The business has gone through an exciting period of change recently, and can offer some great opportunities for internal growth and development as a result.

The Role: As the Finance Officer, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks crucial for ensuring the smooth running of the finance department. Reporting into a values led head of finance with some fantastic experience in which to learn from, there will be lots of opportunity for autonomy and influence and will require self starters who enjoy solving problems, can use their initiative and have good attention to detail.

Duties:

  • Bookkeeping for the business, taking ownership over debits and credits
  • Ensure accurate processing of revenue from company ticketing platform
  • Credit control, chasing invoices and handling customer queries
  • Manage supplier relationships and be a regular point of contact for external stakeholders
  • Account reconciliations
  • Provide payroll support (posting journals / reconciling ledgers)
  • Assisting with annual audit
  • Ad hoc tasks to support head of finance and wider finance team

What we need to see (essential):

  • Previous accounting experience specifically with debits and credits
  • Good Excel skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

What we'd like to see (bonus):

  • Part Qualified / Finalist (ACCA / ACA / CIMA)

Salary: Up to £37k + study support

Location: Central London - 1 day in the office
