FINANCE OFFICER

UP TO £35,000 DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

SOUTH WEST LONDON

PERMANENT ROLE – FULL TIME OFFICE BASED, TERM TIME WORKING

My client is an educational trust looking to recruit a hands-on Finance Officer with strong purchase ledger experience, to provide high quality finance support to the Director of Finance. Having worked in a similar role within an educational institution, you will be available to start at short notice. Working pattern is term time plus 2 weeks, fully office based. Key Responsibilities

To work as part of the Finance team to support the timely and accurate processing of orders, invoices and payments and the monthly reconciliation process:

  • Raise purchase orders and place orders.
  • Match invoices with purchase orders and process for payment.
  • Set up new suppliers.
  • Create weekly BACS payment runs.
  • Assist with monthly reconciliation of non-staffing budget expenditure with the schools’ bank account.
  • Process petty cash payments.
  • Process journals for printing costs and IT resources.
  • Produce appropriate charges for curriculum and administrative stationery provided to departments. 
  • Produce statements for budget holders.
  • Liaise with suppliers and budget holders in the above regard.
  • Investigate and resolve any queries as a result of the above
  • Relevant filing and record keeping

Person Specification

  • Experience within an educational setting is essential.
  • Experience using SIMS/ARBOR is desirable.
  • Competent using Xero/similar software and intermediate Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to work flexibly.
