Finance Officer, Gallery, London, Temporary, £16.50 - £17.50 an hour plus holiday pay accrual

Our client, a gallery in London, requires a Finance Officer to join their Operations team ASAP. The Finance Officer will be responsible for maintaining records and supporting financial processes.

Responsibilities

  • Processing supplier invoices and staff expenses accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensuring invoices are correctly coded and authorized
  • Reconciling suppliers' statements and reviewing aged creditors reports
  • Managing daily correspondence with suppliers regarding invoices and payments
  • Posting monthly expenditure accruals and prepayment journals
  • Assisting with year-end audits
  • Overseeing banking of cheques, cash collections, and petty cash management
  • Supporting the preparation of donations and cash flow management

Requirements:

  • Experience working within accounts
  • Experience using Access Dimensions or a similar accounting package
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Experience in delivering excellent customer service
  • Aptitude to work on own initiative and as a member of a small team
  • Data entry skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive and flexible attitude with strong time management and organizational abilities
