Butler Rose is working with one of the largest housing associations in London and the South-East in their search for a Finance Officer (Accounts Payable) to join their Finance team. This is a temp role till 20th December 2024, office based with opportunity for hybrid working and will pay £17.48 an hour to the successful candidate. Responsibilities: * Check and verify invoices via purchase orders to ensure accuracy. * Address and resolve queries from suppliers promptly and professionally. * Maintain and build strong vendor relationships. * Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve departmental goals. * Utilise advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting. * Ensure meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of work. Required Experience: * The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounts payable, advanced Excel skills, and excellent communication abilities. * Experience of or ability to work within financial environment of a fast-paced organisation. * Experience of working with large volumes of financial transactions. * Experience of collecting and providing information. * Experience of delivering a customer focused service. * Able to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively. * Able to prioritise within pressurised environment to meet required deadlines. Knowledge: * Adequate knowledge and understanding of financial processes, preferably within a housing environment will be a plus * Understanding of the principles of double entry book keeping is beneficial. * To be aware of the Groups statutory, regulatory and contractual obligations.
