We are seeking a Finance Officer with experience in Sage 200 to join our team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will provide essential support to our finance and administrative operations, ensuring the smooth running of our school’s financial systems.
Day-to-day of the role:- Provide full administrative support, including reception duties, drafting correspondence, responding to enquiries, and general office tasks.
- Maintain and manage school databases and systems.
- Assist with the organisation of extra-curricular activities, school trips, and events.
- Support the school’s admissions process and coordinate meetings for leadership.
- Minute meetings, capturing key points and actions.
- Work closely with the Senior Finance Officer to manage day-to-day financial administration tasks such as processing orders, payroll forms, bank reconciliations, petty cash claims, banking, raising invoices, and recording payments.
- Manage the school’s online payment system and assist in compiling the accruals list for End of Year Accounts.
- Ensure accurate finance records are maintained using Sage.
- Support the annual audit and liaise with external contractors for quotations.
- Assist with the collation of statistical information and returns.
- Act as a first aider and maintain records in accordance with the school’s retention schedule and Data Protection law.
- Proficiency in using Sage 200.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in financial administration within an educational setting is desirable.
