Finance Officer - Independent School | London

A prestigious independent school in Battersea, London, is looking for a Finance Officer to support its finance team. This role focuses on purchase and nominal ledger management, reconciliations, and financial operations to ensure smooth financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee purchase and nominal ledgers, ensuring invoices and payments are processed accurately.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and process weekly BACS runs.
  • Manage supplier accounts, including setting up and maintaining relationships.
  • Support budget holders and assist in capital project accounting.
  • Process staff expenses and assist with external audits.
What We're Looking For:
  • Degree in Accounting and part-qualified or working towards ACCA, CIMA, ACA.
  • Experience in bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial controls.
  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and support internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in education or schools (desirable but not essential).
