An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Officer to work for an International Membership Body. This is a fantastic role for someone with an accounting practice background, looking to build their career in the non-profit sector.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
- Manage supplier invoicing and payments
- Process payment runs for suppliers and staff/volunteers
- Oversee sales invoicing and cash allocations
- Reconcile supplier statements
- Assist with monthly reconciliations of control and balance sheets
- Post monthly journals and manage banking cheques
- Maintain petty cash and issue customer refunds
- Reconcile purchase and sales ledgers
- Handle supplier queries and send out statements
- Participate in ad-hoc financial projects
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in a finance role
- Working towards AAT, CIMA, CIPFA, or ACCA qualification
- Strong system skills including intermediate Excel skills
- Strong reconciliation, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritise tasks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
