From a Finance perspective over the last 12 months, we have embarked on a transformative journey developing an in-house function to meet our growth in business and reporting demands post-acquisition. We have successfully implemented more robust financial processes and controls, streamlined reporting mechanisms, enhanced our forecasting capabilities and have partnered more closely with the business to support the company's ambitious growth trajectory.

We expect to continue to grow significantly over the next few years including expansion internationally in the US, Asia and Australia and this role will play a key part in driving the business forward.

Reports to:Global Head of Finance

Position Overview:

The Financial Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing accounting processes and supporting the financial strategy of the company. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Finance, this role will be integral in ensuring financial compliance, reporting, and assisting in generating financial analysis that will drive key business decisions. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills, attention to detail, and experience in working within an international business context.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards (UK & US GAAP).

Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.

Assist in preparing consolidated financial reports for the global business units.

Maintain compliance with tax regulations, both domestic and international, and assist with tax filings.

Collaborate with external auditors during the audit process and implement any audit recommendations.

General Accounting:

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.

Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately.

Assist in payroll processes and ensure alignment with country-specific regulations.

Financial Analysis & Budgeting:

Collaborate with the Global Head of Finance on financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.

Provide variance analysis and identify key drivers of financial performance, offering recommendations for cost control and efficiency improvements.

Support project costing and profitability analysis for client engagements.

Assist in cash flow management and forecasting.

Systems & Process Improvement:

Implement and optimise financial systems and processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.

Provide training and support to other team members on financial tools and systems.

Ad-Hoc Projects & Strategic Support:

Provide financial insights and support on ad-hoc projects.

Prepare financial models, analysis, and presentations for senior management.

Work closely with other departments (HR, IT, Operations) to ensure alignment between financial goals and operational strategies.

Support the implementation of new financial systems or upgrades to meet the demands of a growing international business.

Key Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelors degree.

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

Experience:

3-5+ years of relevant experience in financial accounting.

Experience in multinational organisations useful, with exposure to different currencies, tax jurisdictions, and global financial operations.

Proven experience with financial software systems.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS or GAAP).

Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with a high level of attention to detail.

Advanced proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications.

Confident communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
