We are partnered with an industry leading Healthcare organisation as they look to recruit a strong qualified Financial Accountant due to growth.
You will pay a pivotal supporting the FC in month-end and year-end processes whilst receiving hands on mentorship.
Responsibilities:
- Support the UK Financial Controller with month-end and year-end reporting deadlines
- Maintain the general ledgers, including balance sheet reconciliations and revaluations
- Post journal entries and execute month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Prepare prepayments and accruals
- Manage the fixed asset register
- IFRS 16 lease accounting
- Prepare UK and EU VAT returns
- Assist in the interim and year-end audit process
- Acting as a mentor to the Assistant Accountant, helping to develop their role and qualifications
- Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and systems
- Other ad hoc tasks deemed necessary such as business partnering and involvement with R&D projects
Requirements:
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
- Proficient in Excel
- Can work to deadlines with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
This role is best suited to a newly qualified accountant
