Your new companyA globally recognised travel business is looking to hire a financial accountant to their team. The vacancy has risen due to one of their financial accountants being promoted. The business has recently been acquired by a US counterpart, and is rapidly growing.Your new roleLooking for a newly qualified accountant to join the Head Office Accounts team. Some of the main responsibilities of the role include :

  • Ensuring all accounting processes are followed and improved.
  • Ensuring any issues identified during month-end procedures are followed-up and corrected.
  • Liaising with UK and international head office stakeholders on projects and policies impacting the financial accounts.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing.
  • Preparation of the annual financial statements and quarterly balance sheets.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Fully qualified accountant straight from practice (making your first move into industry).
  • Exposure and in-depth knowledge of IFRS, particularly working knowledge of FRS102.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and results-driven.
  • Strong communicator and confidence in partnering with stakeholders.
  • Experience leading teams in practice, as well as consolidations, desirable but not essential.
