This newly created Financial Accountant will form a key part of the Finance team for a rapidly growing VC/PE Investment firm paying £70,000 to £75,000 depending on experience with a Discretionary bonus. Currently operating on 4 days a week based in Westminster

Role

This Financial AccountantRole will help the Firm scale the finance function, put new processes in place and refine existing ones. This role will work closely with the CFO put in providing support for a growing team. Please find a brief outline of the role below.

  • Prepare Quarterly VAT returns
  • Assistance with preparing and reconciling the year end and interim figures ready for audit/review (including cleansing/integrity of the financial data in Sage)
  • Assistance with P&L and Balance Sheet analysis work for audit file
  • Assistance with drafting IFRS consolidated statutory accounts for the Group, plus accounts for the 4 subsidiary entities
  • Liaising with the Investment Department to confirm what information we already have and then preparing a section of the file for each investee company containing the standard set of information required for the Valuation Committee to prepare their calculations
  • Monthly update of IRRs for Investee Companies
  • Manage pension arrangements for all staff
  • Update investee company management accounts
  • Review monthly accruals and prepayments, prepared by finance assistant
  • Review monthly sales invoices to be sent to customers, prepared by finance assistant
  • Approve monthly bank reconciliations, prepared by finance assistant
  • Any ad-hoc duties as required

Profile

The Financial Accountantfor this VC/PE InvestorsFirm is ideally looking for

  • A Qualified Accountant with 1-5 years post qualified experience (ACCA, CIMA or ACA)
  • Somone who's worked a SME Financial Services Business
  • Experience with using SAGE
