Purpose of the job:

Due to rapid growth in the Group, we are recruiting for this important role in group finance supporting an established and fast-growing Private Equity backed business based in the City of London.

Responsible for preparing the Group’s year-end Statutory accounts and consolidation as well as managing the external audit process.

Will be supporting the monthly reporting for the legal entities including balance sheets and cashflows for management and Board.

Working very closely with the Group Financial Controller involved in ad-hoc financial analysis, balance sheet reviews, and improving and implementing controls needed as the Group continues to grow.

Job summary:

  • Working alongside the Group Financial Controller and Senior Management Accountant this role will take the lead on statutory reporting of the Group’s 10+ legal entities.
  • Manages and coordinates the year-end audit point of contact for internal colleagues and external auditors.
  • The role will have direct ownership of certain high impact and high-risk balance sheet accounts as well reviewing and providing guidance to the finance assistants on the BAU accounts.
  • The role holder will report directly to the Group Financial Controller.
  • The role will need exceptional UK GAAP and IFRS knowledge and knowledge of consolidating Group accounts.
  • Will be a key part in preparing financial statements for audit and writing technical papers on accounting treatment.
