Financial Accountant

Salary: £60,000-£65,000 + bonus and benefits

Our client is seeking a qualified Financial Accountant with a technical mindset and a strong desire to learn. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to apply their knowledge in a practical setting within a complex multinational emerging market environment. The role offers a blend of technical specialist responsibilities, specifically in IFRS problem analysis, alongside numerous opportunities to collaborate with wider Finance, Group functions and local markets on various one-off projects and transactions.

What you'll do:

Working on technical accounting topics - researching new questions, documenting accounting memos and policies, and training local teams on technical IFRS
Collaborating on diverse finance projects and activities, including M&A and Debt transactions
Assisting in preparing and reviewing Group financial statements (quarterly and annual) for SEC submission
Adherence to and improvement of internal controls (SOX and similar)
Assisting with audit requests from the Group's auditors during review and audit engagements
Engaging with cross-functional teams on ad hoc finance requests
Continuously learning and adapting in a dynamic work environment

Personal specification:

In-depth knowledge of IFRS accounting standards
'Big 4' audit trained or experience auditing large multinational companies or working in a group reporting role in large multinational organisation
Strong analytical skills and technical acumen
Eagerness to learn and grow within the role
Bachelor's degree or similar strong academics
Professional qualification such as CPA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent is highly preferred
