Financial Auditor

A fantastic and exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Auditor with an excellent bonus structure and great career progression opportunities, with an immediate start, at a market leading, dynamic and renowned Property and Car Park Management Company.

We are offering a salary of £100,000 plus bonus and career progression based at Dorset Square, Marylebone, London and reporting into the Finance Director.

Euro Car Parks is a market leading, renowned UK business, established over 48 years ago, with many prestigious clients and customers and is dedicated to providing a first class, outstanding service. We are looking for an Financial Auditor to be responsible for reporting to our clients and joint venture partners in the UK. The role will also assist in the day to day running of the finance department and preparation of management accounts.

The role will contribute to the ongoing strategic direction of the business. We are looking for someone with experience in auditing and management accounts, and who has worked in a fast-paced finance environment and has the ability to manage financial transactions with a hands-on approach to auditing, management accounts and making key decisions that will impact the business.

The business requires a competent, hard-working, meticulous and diligent person who is commercially aware and can make key decisions that will impact on the business. The role offers a great deal of exposure and would provide a large amount of variety covering all aspects of the accounts spectrum.

You would be part of a top level, dedicated and exciting team within our central London Office, based near Baker Street in Marylebone. We are looking for someone with an immediate start for a full-time, permanent role.

The role

  • Plan and perform audits
  • Drafting scopes, documenting audit processes, presenting findings and preparing reports
  • Preparing revenue and cost statements
  • Distributing statements to client contacts and addressing any queries raised.
  • Preparing settlement transactions and submitting for payment.
  • Working with and supporting the team in relation to the commercial terms of new agreements and their incorporation within clients statements.
  • Regular reconciliation of statements to accounting balances and settled amounts.
  • To assist in the production of the Management Accounts and the presentation of the management information as well as day to day accounts tasks.
  • Assisting with both day to day accounts tasks (cash book/journal allocations and postings/ledger maintenance) and monthly accounts preparation work.
  • Providing assistance and information to the ECP Finance Team as the need arises.
  • Data analysis, using Business Intelligence tools
  • Reviewing processes
  • Risk management

The ideal candidate will:

  • ACCA part-qualified/CIMA Foundation or fully qualified Accountant.
  • Be competent in Microsoft Office and in particular have strong/advanced Excel skills
  • Have a good understanding of sales/purchase ledger activities and have at least 2 years of overall accounts experience gained in industry.
  • Have effective communication skills both written and verbal and be highly numerate
  • Be highly organised and works well with systems. Sun Accounting system experience would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of financial and operational risks and controls
  • Internal audit experience, including identifying and assessing risks and controls
  • Be able to use initiative and challenge existing processes.
  • Be confident and outgoing with the ability to influence others and build key relationships.
  • IT Literate
