Our client, the largest frozen food company in Europe with a turnover of €2.9 billion are hiring!
The finance team which looks after the French entity are hiring a Financial Controller who speaks fluent French.
This role will be key in providing guidance and experience within the R2R team and wider finance. This position will also be key in embedding best in class processes in the new ERP system SAP. The role is responsible for the end-to-end accounting and controls for market legal entities and will ensure critical reporting and control performance is completed correctly and to deadlines.
This role will work closely with the Senior Financial Controller and other key stakeholders across the business.
Some of the responsibilities:
- Responsible for the accurate and timely submission of indirect reporting, including
- Lead in preparation of local statutory accounts for markets
- Close the month end reporting cycle accurately and on time
- Supporting the Group Finance in the Annual/Monthly accounting cycle
- Advanced technical knowledge of IFRS and experience of practical application Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with the legal entity Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) controls
- Supervise, lead, motivate and develop assistant controllers
Knowledge and skills:
- Qualified accountant CIMA/ACCA/ACA
- Fluent French
- Up to date and knowledgeable of IFRS accounting standards
- SOX knowledge desirable
- SAP user knowledge particularly S4 Hana desirable
- Audit and/or month end close experience
- Proactive, self-starter with the ability to work in a changing environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
