Revenue - Financial Controller

Salary: £70,000-£85,000

Location: London

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Controller to join a rapidly expanding global finance department. This role offers the chance to play a crucial part in accounting and reporting processes, as well as serving as a business partner for various teams. The successful candidate will be based in London and will operate on a hybrid model, with three days in the office each week.

What you'll do:

  • Lead and develop the revenue controllership function of our London office

  • Provide ongoing support to our customer-facing teams

  • Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process according to US GAAP

  • Review and analyze agreements with customers and partners to ensure proper revenue recognition (ASC-606) and other accounting standards or internal policies are met

  • Prepare, maintain and analyze various reports supporting business needs

  • Lead or participate in ad-hoc projects to enhance current workflows and procedures internally, and in conjunction with other departments

  • Drive system enhancements and identify opportunities to optimize processes

  • Take part in implementing and communicating new finance policies

What you bring:

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience large software companies (SAAS) - an advantage

  • ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting (with Big-4 experience) - an advantage

  • Proficient knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606 in specific

  • Exceptional business partnering skills, with demonstrated ability to work cross functionally and at various levels within a company

  • Ability to work autonomously, with solid decision making skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
