My client, a growing media company based in Central London are recruiting a pro-active and ambitious Financial Controller to join their Finance department and support the growth of the group.

This new position will report to the Finance Director and manage a team of four. The Financial Controller will interact closely with various departments across the company globally.

This key appointment will be ensuring that a robust financial and commercial control environment is maintained, whilst also driving financial and commercial value within the business.

Key Duties

  • To build and maintain closer relationships with key clients ensuring greater understanding of financial systems and the resolution of any problems swiftly and amicably.
  • Drive the preparation of management accounts and comprehensive board report schedules, guiding strategic decision-making processes.

  • Deal with Audit requests

  • Oversee revenue recognition processes, supported by meticulous documentation, to maximise financial performanceReview and Submission of payments run

  • Managing a team of four

  • Oversight of the general ledger and UK GAAP

  • Spearhead the forecasting and budgeting initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and market dynamics

  • Fixed asset management

  • Future Planning and Analysis

Requirements

  • Qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
  • Management experience

  • Commercial mind-set
