We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to take ownership of all financial operations and strategy within our organization. The role involves leading the finance team, overseeing cash flow management, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making and long-term business growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and intercompany transactions.
  • Lead the year-end closing process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Develop and manage the company’s budgeting and forecasting processes, providing strategic financial insights to senior management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of bank accounts and all financial transactions.
  • Monitor compliance with financial regulations, implement and maintain internal controls, and drive improvements in financial systems.
  • Supervise and mentor the office team, providing leadership and professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with including construction and property management teams, to support financial operations and strategic planning.
  • Oversee the use of Xero accounting software, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to senior management, offering recommendations to support business decision-making and growth strategies.
  • Lead cash flow management, optimize working capital, and manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.
  • Support external audits and ensure compliance with tax laws and other regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in finance and accounting
  • Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Xero accounting software and other financial systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and internal controls.
  • Experience in the construction and/or property management industries is a plus.
