Are you a financial expert ready to make a significant impact? Join a leading firm as a Financial Controller and partner closely with the Group Finance Director and Divisional Managing Directors. This pivotal role ensures compliance with statutory and internal financial and legal commitments while providing crucial financial support and insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Accounting Operations: Oversee daily purchase ledger transactions, preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts for two group companies.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, cash flow, and P&L.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to UK & US financial standards.
  • Budget Management: Oversee budget preparation, monthly reporting, and financial planning.
  • Cash Flow Forecasting: Manage operational funds and forecast cash flow positions.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs to ensure divisional targets are met.
  • Collaboration: Partner with Managing Directors to inform on performance and controls.
  • Tax Management: Handle VAT, PAYE, corporation tax, and liaise with auditors.
  • Contract Oversight: Monitor external contracts and services for effectiveness and value.
  • Commission Calculations: Oversee sales commission and bonus calculations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Financial Expertise: Strong understanding of financial processes, systems, and controls.
  • Reporting Proficiency: Expertise in financial reporting and compliance, with advanced MS Excel skills
  • Budgeting Skills: Experience with budget preparation and forecasting.
  • Analytical Ability: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and business partnering experience.
