We are seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to join our Finance department. This role is crucial for preparing and submitting accurate monthly and yearly financial and management accounts, providing financial analysis, and managing the Assistant Manager, Finance. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with accounting standards and enhance financial reporting processes.
Day-to-day of the role:- Prepare and oversee the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Perform financial analysis to interpret variances, trends, and other key financial metrics.
- Responsible for the production or review of annual corporation tax return, quarterly tax payments, and VAT returns.
- Prepare disclosure notes for the annual financial statements and collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the audit process.
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls over financial reporting processes.
- Supervise and provide guidance to the Assistant Manager, Finance, ensuring professional development and achievement of departmental goals.
- Assist with regulatory reporting and support continuous improvement in system, process, and control enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations relating to financial reporting and accounting functions.
- Qualified accountant with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role within financial services.
- Excellent Excel, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience in preparation of financial accounts, including knowledge of FRS 102 and IFRS 9.
- Experience in corporation tax and VAT matters.
- Regulatory reporting experience, particularly with FINREP.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate direct reports.
