Halliday Marx are exclusively partnering with a wonderful Leisure brand to hire a Financial Controller, overseeing 5 heads.

This will ideally suit a qualified accountant looking for their FIRST FINANCIAL CONTROLLER role.

I want a future leader ready and eager to get stuck in - get involved with shoulders back.

HYBRID - 3 days in

Reporting to the CFO, the role will be responsible for making sure two teams work together to ensure Finance runs smoothly.

The role will be a key conduit with external investors, banking partners, auditors & regulatory bodies.

Excitingly the role is all about identifying and actioning any process improvements which will improve accuracy, efficiency & speed.

You will be the main coach to the team to develop their skills too.

The role:

Oversee UK and European teams

Prepare monthly Financial reporting pack

Prepare detailed annual budgets and rolling forecasts

Be the main contact for Management Team with any finance queries or reporting requests

Review and forecast income and expenditure is inline with budget

Treasury and FX to get max returns on excess cashflows.

To relentlessly seek out improvement opportunities within Finance, to identify & implement effective solutions

Ad Hoc analysis & reports

Oversee year-end audit

Review balance sheet reconciliations

Key Skills wanted:

Qualification CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent

Experience of building financial models from scratch

Excellent Excel skills

Excellent analytical and numerical abilities

Experience of working with reporting software
