Senior Financial Controller 

Location:Central  London (Hybrid) 

I am currently supporting a client in the cross-industry technology sector, primarily operating at the intersection of technology and finance, in their search for a Financial Controller. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, high-growth company that is driving innovation in the industry.

Our client is seeking a Financial Controller based in London who is ready to take a hands-on role in building the accounting infrastructure and processes needed to support their continued growth in a fast-paced yet controlled environment. Reporting to and working closely with Senior Controllers and Accounting Leadership, the ideal candidate will be comfortable operating in a high-growth company where structures, procedures, and policies are still evolving. They should have the ability to navigate a dynamic environment, prioritize effectively, and play a key role in developing a scalable and efficient accounting and reporting function.

Responsibilities

• Taking ownership of  month end close process through to the drafting accounting policy

• Supporting the senior accountants development to help them reach their potential 

• Oversee bank accounts and cryptocurrency wallets

• Manage the month end close process and prepare month end variance analysis.

• Owning the submission of all required financial reporting deliverables to various regulators by prescribed deadlines

• Ensuring compliance with GAAP and additional regulatory requirements

• Point of contact and Lead year-end audit work for entities under purview

• Review of reconciliations prepared by other Accountants within the team

• Identify and implement process improvements to controls and procedures in order to ensure the efficiency and accuracy of the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting process

• Play an integral part in building a scalable and efficient accounting and finance function
