Financial Controller

City of London, hybrid

£75,000-£80,000 plus bonus

Our client, a boutique financial advisory and accounting firm based in the City of London are currently searching for a Financial Controller to join their expanding team.

This role presents a great opportunity to develop your career in the financial services/ investment industry, work on their prestigious portfolio of real estate clients, and play a leading role in the growth of the company.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and oversee the production of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Develop annual budgets, financial forecasts, and perform variance analysis to support decision-making
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations
  • Analyse costs and identify areas for savings, driving strategies to improve cost efficiency
  • Manage cash flow to ensure liquidity for operations and optimise cash balances
  • Act as the key finance contact for internal and external stakeholders for the allocated client portfolio, ensuring robust financial systems and processes

Skills required:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
  • Extensive experience in financial reporting and controllership, particularly in real estate is essential
  • JV accounting experience is a big plus
  • Knowledge of IFRS & UK GAAP
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to be proactive and autonomous
  • Systems implementation experience advantageous
