This newly created Financial Controller will form a key part of the Finance team for a rapidly growing Fintech firm paying £100,000 to £110, 000 depending on experience with a Discretionary bonus. Currently operating on 3 days a week based in the City of London

Role

This Financial Controller Role will help the Firm scale the finance function, put new processes in place and refine existing ones. This role will work closely with the Finance Director put in providing support for a growing team. Please find a brief outline of the role below.

  • Manage and oversee daily P&L, Cash and KPI reporting from back office
  • Manage daily cash flow reporting and liquidity partner (LP) funding
  • Month-end accounting procedures including review of P+L and Balance Sheet
  • Maintain integrity of general ledger (and subsidiary ledgers) at all times
  • Intercompany reconciliations as part of month end close process
  • Preparation and oversight of monthly entity Management accounts
  • B2B Divisional month-end reporting including variance analysis
  • Preparation and input to UK statutory accounts and UK external audit point of contact
  • Support the B2B budget planning process
  • Provide input to UK VAT returns and
  • Assist with UK and DK (FAS) corporation tax
  • There will be various projects to which the position can contribute and lead including:
  • Automation of daily entity (FFS & FT) division reporting
  • Improvements and automation of current processes, expanding use of the SAP ledger
  • Integration with other Group systems

Profile

The Financial Controller for this Fintech Firm is ideally looking for

  • At least post-qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Knowledge of various IFRS & UK accounting standards
  • Experience in Financial Services industry in FCA regulated
  • Experience with Using SAP
