MLC Partners are working with a well-know Charitable organisation, to recruit a Financial Controller for a 12 month maternity leave contract.

The main duties of the role are to provide financial strategy and lead on developing, maintaining and embedding appropiate controls, processes and policies across the organisation.

  • Lead the delivery of the statutory accounts, year end and managing a successful audit process.
  • Support the Financial Director on developing and implementing the finance and funding strategy.
  • Ensuring the organisation remains financially compliant with external bodies, including HMRC.
  • Managing all month and quaterly end processes, including payroll and ensuring the financial system is maintaned and used effectively. Maintanence of the financial system.
  • Management of 4 direct reports.

Key Criteria:

  • Qualified accountant, with proven experience within the Charity sector.
  • Significant understanding of financial and operational processes, with a strong understanding of Charity SORP, and liasing with statutory agencies.
  • Strong team and leadership experience.
