This newly created Financial Controller role for a rapidly growing Private Equityfirm paying £80,000 to £110,000 depending on experience with a Discretionary bonus, based in the heart of the west end

Role

This Financial Controller will help the Firm scale the finance function, put new processes in place and refine existing ones. This role will work closely with the CFO to put in providing support for a growing team. Please find a brief outline of the role below.

  • Supporting the CFO in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial records and
  • Take ownership of the linkage, validity and control analysis over the reporting process encompassing the outsourced custodian, the financial records/ledgers and the in-house asset management platform/system.
  • Ownership of the budget setting and monitoring process with variation analyses and
  • Oversight of the financial ledger, supporting the bookkeeper in analysing transactions, preparing required journals and reconciliations
  • Develop and maintain internal controls, policies and procedures which help to safeguard assets and mitigate risks
  • Oversight and maintenance of appropriate data mapping across the various systems including the general ledger and investment reporting.
  • Responsibility for the effective implementation of relevant systems including upgrades and
  • Control access to and the security of the financial suite and maintain accounting structures to ensure they meet departmental and corporate needs.
  • Ownership of tax and compliance reporting requirements across the family office
  • Liaise with external service providers; accountants, tax, legal, administrators and investment managers to ensure compliance and best practises
  • Overseeing all employee related costs and benefits

Profile

The Financial Controller for this Private Equity is ideally for the below

  • A Qualified Fund Accountant from Industry (ACCA, ACA)
  • Has experience with Implementing a new system- (Ideally Sage)
  • Someone's who's worked within a Family office/ Financial services

The Financial Controller will report into a hugely impressive head of CFO who is keen to develop people within the team and prides on promoting from within. The Private Equity business is one of the largest investors into the green sector and this is a new role due to growth to take responsible off the CFO The business currently has a headcount of 50 people and looking to grow to over 75 towards to end of year.

Salary is bench marked £80,000 to £110,000 on experience.
