Finance Officer, London. £34,000 - £38,000. 4 Months Contract +

On behalf of a large Housing Association in London, we are recruiting a Financial Transactions Officer, initially for a 4-month contract (could go permanent) to work in their large financial transactions team. This is a key role which will support the Financial Operations and Transactions Manager with completing and reconciling financial transactions (sale, purchase, and cash) for on their large property portfolio.

Main Duties:

  • Processing and reconciling transactions (sale, purchase, and cash) to ensure accounting records are accurate and on time. Collation of full audit trail
  • Deal with and resolve user queries on outputs from transactions processing, system inputs, and training
  • Reviewing processes, systems and controls and assist in automation to help streamline work
  • Support the wider Financial Operations Teams with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Update process maps, procedures and operating notes
  • Assist in the providing financial KPIs at month-end
  • Assist in providing audit with information at year-end

Person Specification:

  • AAT level 2 or above
  • Strong journals and transactions coding experience
  • Strong Excel (Pivots, V-lookups, Formulas - will be tested at interview)
  • Strong AP/AR/Cashiering experience
  • Proven experience of working to deadlines
  • Strong experience of working in a busy month-end deadline driven environment
  • Prior experience of working for a housing association would be beneficial!
