Reed Talent Professionals are partnering with a global investment bank based in Central London, in the search for an Interim Fund Accountant. They are based in the financial district in Liverpool Street and offer hybrid working. 

We are seeking an experienced Fund Accountant for a global investment bank based in the financial district near Liverpool Street, Central London. This role offers hybrid working with 2 days from home, ideal for professionals who excel in Fund Accounting and Client Management within a dynamic financial environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Oversee the calculation and accuracy of the Net Asset Value (NAV) and other NAV-related activities, ensuring compliance with UK requirements and accounting standards.
  • Manage the production and quality of financial reporting, adhering to UK SORP requirements.
  • Oversee the calculation of distributions and associated figures and produce management information.
  • Conduct trend analysis, assess errors, and continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the oversight programme.
  • Train and monitor outsourced service providers to ensure their performance meets the required standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for UK clients, coordinating resolutions to queries and attending client service reviews.
  • Support the sales process, coordinate the onboarding of new clients and fund launches, and manage client due diligence activities.
  • Monitor regulatory changes, assess their impact on systems and services, and drive process improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge and practical experience in fund accounting, financial reporting, and distribution requirements for UK regulated fund structures, including taxation calculations.
  • Extensive knowledge of UK regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
  • Proven experience in overseeing outsourced and offshored activities.
  • Strong client-facing and client management skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Project management experience.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Analytical, solution-oriented, and highly organised.
