Our client, a prestigious global law firm experiencing substantial growth through acquisitions, is seeking a Senior Global Finance Specialist to join their dynamic team in London. This exclusive 12-month fixed-term contract offers an exciting opportunity for a UK Big 4 trained professional to make a significant impact in a rapidly evolving environment.

Salary: £75,000 - £90,000 per annum

Role Overview: As a Senior Global Finance Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in providing high-quality financial information for both internal and external use. You'll drive business growth, implement changes within the global finance function, and act as an advisor to uphold best practices across the organisation. This position offers unique exposure to the firm's management, senior finance leadership, and the global accounting network.

Key Senior Global Finance Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Produce weekly key financial information reports for the management team
  • Contribute to month-end group consolidation and reporting within a five-day deadline, including:
  • Preparation of inter-company invoices for cross-border transactions
  • Monthly accounting checks on overseas office balance sheets
  • Generation of month-end reports for the Group, practice groups, and global offices
  • Conduct analytical reviews of monthly office results to understand trends and identify errors
  • Prepare high-quality regular and ad hoc financial information for senior management
  • Manage cross-border intra-group balances and funding on a multi-currency basis
  • Participate in technical accounting discussions and projects
  • Apply IFRS knowledge to complex accounting issues
  • Support mid-year audit activities for the merged firm
  • Conduct control and accounting reviews for merged firm books
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis on financial data related to recent acquisitions

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
  • UK Big 4 trained with strong IFRS knowledge
  • Experience in an international finance function (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Self-motivated with a solutions-driven approach
