SRM Recruitment are exclusively partnered with a successful real estate businesses to secure them a driven and motivated Group Management Accountant who is ideally newly qualified ACCA /CIMA or equivalent, or qualified from smaller practice background.

You will play a leading role in the day to day running of the finance function. It is important that this person can build relationships across the wider team. This role will suit someone with strong finance and accounting skills with a commercial mindset. The business is small and as such the successful candidate will be happy working within a busy, "hands on" environment where processes and procedures are evolving all the time. Our client is looking for a candidate with prior experience within management accounting, ideally someone who has qualified whilst working in industry, or qualified from practice and has some industry experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsibility for and ownership of the prime financial record keeping
  • Preparation and continuing development of monthly management accounts for presentation
  • Monthly internal and external reporting
  • Budgeting & forecasting
  • Business planning
  • Subsidiary accounting and consolidated group accounting
  • Supporting the team with year end financial statements and tax reporting in conjunction with the external accountants
  • Weekly payment runs
  • KPI analysis
  • Overhead reporting

TO BE CONSIDERED, YOU WILL BE/HAVE:

  • ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified
  • High level of understanding of consolidation entries from a Group perspective
  • Experience in preparing budgets and forecasts.
  • Effective communication skills at all levels both written and verbal.
  • Good organisational and time management skills with a proven record of managing multi-tasks and prioritising workload.
  • High integrity in being able to handle confidential and personal sensitive data.
  • Highly numerate and analytical
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a cross-functional team.
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail.
  • Competent with Office365 products and finance systems; Excel skills to include sumifs, pivots & Vlookups.

This is an office based role 4 days pw
