Key Details:
- Hourly Rate: 38.91 PAYE / 49.63 Umbrella
- Working Model: Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 remote)
- Contract Duration: 6 months, with potential for extension
Your Role:
As the Interim Head of Finance, you'll provide strategic financial leadership, ensuring high-quality financial planning, accounting, and commercial advice. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading on financial management for budgets up to 250 million.
- Advising senior managers, council members, and key stakeholders.
- Managing and motivating a high-performing finance team.
- Overseeing the development and compliance of financial policies and statutory reporting.
- Leading transformational projects to drive efficiencies and improve financial control.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualifications: CCAB Qualified Accountant (CIPFA preferred), with extensive post-qualification experience.
- Experience:
- Proven track record in managing Capital or Treasury functions within local government.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience managing diverse teams.
- Expertise in financial planning, control, and regulatory compliance in large organisations.
- Skills: Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to influence senior decision-makers.
