A London-based Housing Association is seeking an Interim Capital Project Accountant for a 6-9 month contract to manage key capital finance processes and ensure compliance with new policies.
In this role, you will:
- Review recent policy changes and ensure they are correctly implemented across ongoing and recent capital projects
- Address a backlog in the major repairs programme, ensuring that capital finance data is properly handled
- Ensure all capital accounting aligns with new policies and that robust processes are in place going forward.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong background in Capital Accounting, Component Accounting, or Fixed Asset Accounting within the Social Housing sector. The role requires specific expertise due to the unique operating environment, making this position suitable only for those with closely relevant experience.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with substantial experience in Capital Accounting in the Social Housing sector
- Possess strong data and systems skills to ensure efficient and accurate accounting
- Have a hands-on approach to tackling complex financial issues in capital projects.
