Robertson Bell is seeking an interim Financial Accountant for a large Public Sector organisation on a three-month contract starting between early March and April.
This fully remote role can be performed from anywhere in the UK and involves delivering consolidated statutory accounts within tight deadlines.
Candidates must be qualified accountants with relevant financial accounting experience or a background in audit practice, and possess excellent communication skills.
Prior experience in preparing consolidated accounts and working in the Public Sector is desirable but not essential.
The contract is Inside IR35 and pays a competitive salary, with applications being reviewed regularly.

Robertson Bell are working with a large, recognisable, Public Sector organisation to recruit an interim Financial Accountant on an initial three month contract starting between early March and April.

This is a fully remote role that can be worked from anywhere within the UK.

The interim Financial Accountant will be responsible for;

Delivering consolidated statutory accounts to tight timescales and in line with the relevant accounting standards. This work will be carried out as part of a wider team.
Scrutinising financial information provided by the groups entities, challenging data and accounting judgements where needed.
Liaising with the auditors to answer queries and provide samples where needed.

The successful candidate will:

Be a qualified accountant with demonstrable finanical accounting experience, or a background in audit practice.
Possess excellent communication skills.
Be a competent user of MS Excel and accounting technology.

Prior experience preparing consolidated accounts and working in the Public Sector is highly desirable but not essential.
