Interim Financial Controller | PE Backed SaaS Scale-Up | 6-Months contract

The Client

Harmonic are delighted to be working exclusively with an International SaaS Scale-Up in their search for an Interim Financial Controller for a period of 6-months, with the potential for this to be extended or become permanent thereafter. Since being acquired by private equity they have pivoted their business and found a new niche which has resulted in a significant growth in revenue.

Our client has hired substantially across the business, both in the UK and internationally. Their growth has been significant and is forecast to accelerate throughout 2025. They are headquartered in London, with an office in the US which is seen is seen as a major growth area for the business. They are offering a flexible working model, with a preference of 2-3 days per week in the office.

The Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and adaptable Financial Controller who has Scale-Up experience and can cover many bases across their finance team. This role will be instrumental in transforming the finance department and ensuring it is robust and future proof for the rapid growth they are currently undergoing. Reporting into the CFO, the main deliverables will be improving efficiency and delivery of the month-end process, P&L, Balance Sheet, as well as automating processes.

Responsibilities

  • Monthly financial reporting.
  • Implement necessary processes to improve efficiency across the finance function.
  • Ensure the smooth running of daily financial operations.
  • Streamline Reporting Process.
  • Support the role out of their new finance software
  • Ensure compliance to financial and tax regulations.
  • Work closely with the CFO on Ad-Hoc projects
  • Take ownership of the companies Share Options scheme.
  • Prepare annual Accounts.
  • Cash Flow forecasting and budgeting.

Essential Skills

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
  • Experience in transformation or automation projects.
  • A willingness to roll up sleeves and get hands on with finance.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Experience in a PE Backed Scale-Up.

Bonus Experience

  • Experience in a SaaS business.

Day Rate £450-£600/day (Outside IR35)

Location London (Hybrid)
