A London market MGA is recruiting for an Interim Financial Controller on a 6-month fixed term contract basis. Supporting the Group FD, you will take ownership and lead the finance operation for the UK/International group. As part of this you will have an opportunity to contribute to the projects spanning across data quality, M&A, and re-structuring. This is an opportunity for an ambitious and experienced individual who will own the monthly financial statement close covering multiple entities across different jurisdiction and currency. You will be expected to strengthen the process and controls for efficiency to support the upscaling of the business. Applicants must be qualified accountants with relevant experience gained within the insurance industry (MGA / Broker preferred), have prior experience of working on tight month-end closing procedures in a timely manner, have experience of dealing with external and internal audit queries, possess a strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting analysis, have experience of working with large quantities of data and be comfortable with manipulating large volumes of information.
