Are you an experienced Financial Controller with the ability to work in a scale up VC backed organisation.

Following a period of sustained growth, I am working with a well known tech client to find someone who is passionate about improving processes and controls to join their team on a Fixed term contract basis.

This role will be hybrid and there are options for working from home two days per week

What you will do:

  • Responsible for overseeing all financial accounting activities, including financial reporting, consolidation, and analysis
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Manage the month-end and year-end financial close processes
  • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Work closely with auditors to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals
  • Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and decision-making

What you will need:

  • Proven experience as a financial controller in a scale-up, VC-backed organisation focused on accounting control
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and leadership ability
  • Advanced proficiency in financial accounting software and systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification
  • Proven track record of being a strong communicator who is able to be diplomatic, tactful and resilient
