About The Company:
This is a role within a luxury Hotel company. They are committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences and upholding the highest standards of service. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a talented Interim Statutory Accountant to join our finance team and ensure compliance with statutory financial reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP/IFRS.
- Coordinate and manage the year-end audit process, liaising with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory financial reporting deadlines and regulations.
- Analyze financial statements and provide detailed reports to senior management.
- Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and other tax-related filings.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial processes.
- Support ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS.
- Proven experience in statutory accounting, preferably within the hospitality or related industry.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
