My client, a small to medium-sized social housing provider, is seeking an Interim Year-End Accountant on a six-month contract. This role requires a sector-experienced professional to ensure the successful delivery of statutory requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the year-end accounting process to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts to maintain financial integrity.
- Producing statutory accounts in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Preparing audit working papers and supporting the audit process.
- Liaising directly with external auditors to address queries.
- Processing key month-end and year-end journals.
This role offers a unique opportunity to join a dynamic organisation in a pivotal period. Working closely with the finance team, you will ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in their year-end operations. The role can be remote or office based, negotiable for the right candidate.
To be considered, please meet the following criteria:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in year-end accounting within the Housing sector.
- Strong technical skills in statutory reporting and audit preparation.
- Demonstrated ability to reconcile complex balance sheets and process journals efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise confidently with auditors.
