Opportunity for an accountant to join the growing Financial Operations team of a Financial Services group. - Manage daily investment activities, including treasury management, unit pricing, and fund valuations.
- Take a senior role by overseeing and reviewing reconciliations and ledger postings to ensure strong financial controls.
- Enhance processes, such as implementing system upgrades, controls, and refining operations.
- Take ownership of investment accounting and reporting, becoming an expert on unit-linked funds and retail investment products.
- Oversee projects related to taxation, asset-liability, rebates, and intercompany accounting.
- Explore opportunities for automating processes and integrating systems to reduce manual workload and improve efficiency.
- Work closely with stakeholders to provide clarity on financial outcomes, management reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Experience in investment accounting, with exposure to unit-linked funds and retail investment products.
- Expertise in managing reconciliations, conducting variance analysis, and maintaining a controlled environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of financial and operational controls, with a proven ability to build and sustain robust frameworks.
- Strong interest in process optimization, automation, and using technologies like AI and Python to enhance operations.
- Knowledge of post-trade operations, including corporate actions, asset servicing, and fund accounting.
- Experience in sourcing prices from Bloomberg and evaluating complex portfolios, including derivatives.
